Understanding that Kiara was only fooling around Kovu smiled and took an attack pose. Right before he could growl a massive lion came in front of him and roared, making his little heart jump out of fright, causing him to not be able to move. But right in the next second a figure got quickly above him and roared as well, then glared at the lion. He was about to pounce but then saw a group of lionesses behind him and a warthog and a meerkat.
''Who are you supposed to be?'', Simba demanded in a low growl, which made Nuka laugh in disgust and hate. ''Now Simba, you do remember your good ol' cousin now don't you?'', Simba's eyes widened at that, ''Nuka?'', ''Good, so you do know me.'', ''What are you doing in our pride lands? How dare you come here?'', Simba growled, ''Your pride lands?!'', Nuka roared, ''These lands should belong to us! I am the son of the king you have cruely murdered!'', ''You don't know anything.''. Simba growled.
''Don't I?'', ''Apparently no. Do you even know the penalty for coming back into the pride lands?'', ''Of course I do! And to be honest, I am not surprised that you would take the life of your own family just so you live happily. You are so selfish Simba. And a coward. You'd attack and kill a cub that is defenseless. How about you wait until he grows and then you take him on?'', Nuka smirked, but Kovu shivered at the thought, ''Or even better, take me on, one on one, right now.''.
Simba growled loud and clear ''You are foolish to think you can take me on.'', ''I never said that. But then again, I might say it if I looked a little different than now. It is a gift if I can eat a whole rat in a day! We barely have any food, let alone water.'', Nuka said in a fake sad tone as he walked back and forth. ''You are banished from here! How dare you even speak to me?'', ''We are banished for what?! You were afraid that we'd over throw you just like you did with Scar! At least we're not hearthless killers!'', Simba roared at that and tried to attack Nuka with a claw which he thankfully dodged. Kovu looked at his older brother in fear and worry. But Nuka...
Nuka looked at Simba unimpressed and disappointed, ''I always wondered if what my mother said about you was true. It is discouraging and a pity to know that my father lost to a temper tantrum personified like you. But he was old, so he must be excused.'', ''Scar was a liar and a murderer! He killed his own brother to become king!'', ''Apparently you're no better since you killed your uncle for that.'', despite them being outnumbered and Simba being so angry Nuka was very calm and calculating, all the while standing in front of Kovu and keeping an eye on Simba's other allies just to make sure. He even licked his muzzle at the sight of Pumba, who observed and started feeling nervous.
''This teritorry never belonged to Scar!'', ''Neither does to you. I should be king, and be sure that one day I will claim this title!'', Nuka snarled, and Simba imitated the gesture, ''Unless...'', Nuka turned his attention towards the other lionesses, ''They get some sense snapped into them and take you out themselves once they realize who you trully are.'', ''I'm not a murderer!'', ''Oh spare me your petty little words, I am right and you shall see. Perhaps you didn't kill Scar but you were about to anyway, you returned home and the first thing you say to him is to give you a reason why you shouldn't tear him apart. Maintain your games as much as you want, for I expect nothing else. We both know the truth. Either tomorrow or in a year you won't be able to deny the it anymore.'', ''Crisis will always come and shall be averted. With, might I add, no assassionations of other lions, unless you ask for it.'', Simba spoke low and angry, ''You find the power to your licking and this will destroy you one day, your majesty.'', Nuka's voice was colder than a mountain wind. The end of the sentence more venomous than a cobra bite. Kovu's never seen Nuka this angry before.
''Be however you want. One day you will see that I am not what you are accusing me to be and you shall regret it. Zira has fed you lies your whole life and went against me, and this caused her banishment. Her loyalty lay with scar and that was her mistake. If you continue to listen to her you will die. And so will the others. She doesn't care about anyone but herself and would risk the lives of her allies to get her ways, even her own children.'', Nuka starred at Simba long and calculating, ''You are convincing.'', he then narrowed his eyes and continued, ''Power always makes you be.'', ''Do not pretend you're a threat to the pride lands. Take him and get out of here.'', Simba warned and went to pick up Kiara by her nape. ''Pretend?'', He turned around with his daughter in his mouth as Nuka approached with a sly smile ''Oh no. No need for that.'', it is the way he said it that made the others shiver and Simba to restrain himself from clenching his jaw in anger, otherwise he'd hurt Kiara. It was so low, confident, dangerous, scary, underestimated, something Nuka always hid. Kiara looked scared up at him.
Nuka chuckled lowly and then turned around. He grabbed Kovu in his mouth and lifted him up, all lions headed home, Kiara and Kovu whispering bye to each other.
When he entered the outlands Nuka dropped Kovu on the ground, who looked up with lowered ears. ''What the hell were you doing there?!'', Kovu jumped and backed away as Nuka snarled at him ''Nothing.'', ''I turn my head for one second and you're gone! I told you to stay still!'', the older lion approached the cub who was backing away ''I'm sorry Nuka.'', ''Sorry isn't enough. What if that brute killed you?'', Nuka spoke and sat down, looking at Kovu with piercing eyes, ''Most importantly, what were you doing with his daughter?'', ''I-I, w-wel she didn't seem so ba-'', ''Fool! She's a pride lander, she can't be trusted! None of them can! They are all liars! They will deceive you! Wait until you turn your back on them and then they kill you!'', Kovu lowered his head, ''Wait until mother hears about this.'', Nuka growled, but then sighed.
Kovu really looked like he was sorry, it made Nuka feel bad for screaming, just a little, so he rolled his eyes, ''Oh, come here you little termite.'', He put a paw over him, ''You're not injured are you? OOps, I think the crocodiles ate your tail.'', Kovu looked quickly back, and sighed in relief when he saw his tail, then laughed at the joke. ''C'mon, if Simba didn't, mom surely will kill us if we're late.'', Nuka picked up Kovu once more and started walking home.
Okay, sooo, I know Nuka isn't in character here, but I made a version where he is more healthy, and healthy means dangerous for lions. Also, I like this picture of Nuka taking care of Kovu. Sorry if it's too long. I had fun writing it. I hope you like it.
